Pastor (Shepherd) Bismik
Bismik is a youth pastor from Germany, a trained historian and philosopher (both a masters degree), a doctoral candidate and a metal band singer. At the age of 17, he experienced Jesus' saving power, which since then has become the anchor and goal of his life. His favorite VR game is Iron Wolf, because of his favorite movie "U96". His favourite beer is the good old franconian "Huppendorfer".
Pastor (Shepherd) Alina
Pastor & Elder
Alina was a flight attendant and had a passion for skydiving till she became disabled about 10 years ago. She has an autoimmune conditions as well as a rare disorder called Erythromelalgia. These keep her confined to her home a majority of the time. She is now a pastor at VR Church and has started a charity giving VR headsets to those in need. She is married to a loving, supportive husband and is blessed to have her VR family. She says she has never known so much love as she does today.
Zach is a native Ohioan who currently lives in Tennessee with his wife Amanda and their two daughters, Nora and Ellie. Zach loves dissecting American Christian dogma, challenging people to make their faith their own (he would love if you asked him what this means!), and having meaningful, in depth conversations about theology.
Zach stumbled into VR church in mid 2018 and was immediately captivated by the potential of this ministry. He's excited about the ability of technology to bring people together across geographical regions to learn, teach, and pray together.
Currently, he works as a marketing and customer service manager for a WordPress development company in Tennessee, and aside from his faith he loves talking about customer service, business strategy, leadership, and more.
Pastor (Shepherd) Kari
Kari received her Bachelor of Arts in Bible with a missions emphasis. For most of her life, she’s had a passion to take the Bible to places it does not yet exist. For the past ten years she has studied natural health, learning all of the ways that God gave us to heal: spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, and how those are all connected.
Besides studying nutrition and documenting the VR Church story, she enjoys spending time with her family. One of her favorite things to do is explore new places with her three boys, two girls, and husband of nineteen years, pastor DJ.
