Discord Greeters
Show new people the ropes and make sure they’re comfortable with Discord, and help them get plugged in with their desired church platform. Check the Discord daily for new people and help them feel welcome in our community.

Discord Community Builders
Go the extra mile to check on Discord community members to see how they’re doing. Hang out with people in voice chat to build friendships and community, and to make everyone feels welcome.

Discord Prayer Team
One of the most powerful things we can do as believers is pray for one another. Pray for our leaders and people in the community. Check Discord daily for prayer requests, reply to the request and pray for them in writing. Research has shown that simply replying “Thanks for sharing; we’ll pray for you!” is often taken as insincere. Typing out the prayer is a better way to meet the person’s need and prove that prayer is truly happening.

Discord Ticket Support Team
Help guests feel supported and informed by responding to tickets. Check Discord daily for new tickets, and do your best to answer the question. Add the appropriate leader to the ticket if needed.

Discord Moderator Team
Help guests feel safe by protecting them from harassment throughout ALL Discord channels. Be observant about disruptors and give appropriate warnings. Attempt to de-escalate before kicking or banning (when possible). Report your kicks and bans to the mod/admin channel.

Discord Ministry Team
Help foster a community that supports each other by keeping watch in all of our public Discord channels for spiritual and life questions and participating in those conversations. It is essential to community growth that its members step into meaningful and difficult discussions instead of leaving them up to the pastors only. The pastors are volunteers as well and cannot always be available to respond in a timely manner. Contributing to these conversations regardless of whether or not a pastor has been pinged will be incredibly helpful to make sure people’s needs are being met.

Discord Shepherding Team
This is an invite-only position to be a pastor and shepherd to our community in Discord. Shepherds will need to have been actively, reliably and consistently serving as a VRMMOC volunteer for a minimum of 9 months and have the Officer role in Discord. Responsibilities could include group bible studies, and 1-on-1 pastoral care. Check Discord daily to answer questions and be available to the people. Pastoral care is emotionally taxing and time consuming. Be sure to set and enforce your own personal boundaries for time online so that you can maintain your own mental health.

VRChat Greeters
Show new people the ropes and make sure they’re comfortable and situated in VRChat, and help them get plugged in. Arrive 10 minutes early to services. Confidently address guests at the spawn area with a cheerful "hello." Be observant, listen, and respond to people who seem lost.

VRChat Announcements Team
Arrive to service 10 minutes early to make sure tech is working. A list of announcements will be provided for you to share at the beginning of services.

VRChat Community Builders

VRChat Community Event Facilitators
There are a lot of community events that take place at VR MMO Church, and the Pastors need help running everything. We need people to help facilitate Community Sunday activities and weekday activities. These are designed to be no-stress events to give our volunteers and teachers a rest between sermon Sundays. The requirements are very simple. Hang out and get to know each other. Make sure everyone knows where to meet and where to go. Make sure everyone feels included. Nothing fancy. Nothing formal. Keep it simple and casual.

VRChat Unity Team
Help create immersive worlds for our VRChat church community. We need dependable people with a wide range of VR creation skills with a priority on project management, Unity with VRC SDK3+ development, 3D modeling and optimization, world optimization, and asset management.

Rec Room Greeters

Rec Room World Builders
Provide an immersive biblical experience for the Rec Room VR Church community. Research the different books of the Bible we are building. Work in teams to increase innovation. Complete final walkthroughs to minimize errors.

Discord Screen Sharing
During play sessions and services, share your FFXIV screen in Discord voice for those that aren’t in-game. We want everyone to still feel like they’re welcome and part of the community even if they don’t currently play FFXIV.

FF14 Community Builders
Go the extra mile to check on community members in FF14 Discord and in-game to see how they’re doing, play content with other people in the community to help them out with difficult - or even boring - content, or to just hang out and have fun.

FF14 Events Team
Come up with open events for people, e.g. Triple Triad, Chocobo Racing, etc.; coordinate, promote, and facilitate those events. Take photos to share and/or video clips for TikTok/YouTube shorts.

Twitch Streamers
We need experienced streamers for all of our services. Provide a quality stream for our community so they can experience VR MMO Church, using thoughtful camera angles to draw in viewers. You will need an active FFXIV, VRChat and/or Rec Room account and access to a dependable streaming computer with a strong and reliable internet connection. (Higher level of security clearance)

Twitch Moderators
We need moderators for all of our services. Provide a quality experience for our viewers by protecting them from spam bots, malicious activity and stream trolls. (Higher level of security clearance)

Twitch Chat Hosts
We need Twitch chat hosts to hang out during our live stream services and help people feel welcome and included. There will usually be questions when new viewers pop in, so have important links on hand and ready to go, such as our Discord invite link, website, beliefs page and YouTube channel. Show up 5 minutes before service when the stream starts and continue hanging out in chat until the live stream ends.

Twitch Clips and Highlights Team
We need people to go through previous streams and make clips and highlights of meaningful teachings and interactions so that we can share them with others and preserve them for future use. Notify the YouTube Video Team and Video Storytelling Team members that new footage is available for them to use.

YouTube SEO Team
We need people who are experienced and skilled in YouTube SEO to optimize titles, descriptions and thumbnails for better viewership. An understanding of marketing and YouTube algorithmic behaviors is required. You would work with the YouTube Video Team and Video Storytelling Team members to optimize the videos they create for YouTube. (Higher level of security clearance)

YouTube Video Team
Work with the Twitch Clips and Highlights Team, and the YouTube SEO Team to take our longform stream content, highlights and clips from Twitch and export them to YouTube. Work with the YouTube SEO Team to add thumbnails, descriptions and titles in order to publish videos on a regular schedule. (Higher level of security clearance)

Video Storytelling Team
Specialized position. This is more than just simple video editing. We need skilled and experienced videographers, directors, storytellers and editors to create compelling and story-rich videos that show the impact VR MMO Church is making in people’s lives.

YouVersion Bible App Coordinator
We need someone to work with our pastors and teachers to create study resource “event” pages in the YouVersion Bible app for each teaching service. Share the resource “event” page link to the Telegram Teacher channel, Discord Church Planning channel for that week, and create Discord announcements on service days. Also, create posts in the Bible app with the weekend service info and links to the resources pages. (Higher level of security clearance)
